 new single: the demise

Thought it was safe, I was in the clear

No reason to lie or have any fear

I heard a sound and looked around

To find myself surrounded by

The darkest cloud.

 

The trees were falling all over the place

Birds were flying stuck in a race

The road was winding, bells were chiming

Lights went up, we came to a stop

And there it was.

 

The planet moaned and shook the ground

Words were spoken, faults were found

So many doubts to cast about

You couldn’t believe such a sham

But such a relief.

 

The paint came off, the whole thing crumbled

My breath was gone and then I stumbled

That was all, I had to fall

I closed my eyes, we heard the call

Our sweet demise.
